AMU VC denies banning women from library, says university treats both genders equally
Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Vice-Chancellor Lt Gen Zameer Uddin Shah refuted any sexist remark by him. He said that he only meant to say that the University library had no space to accommodate any more students. Shah said that the university books are available online for all the students and there is no need to come to already packed library. Secondly, he also said that the passage to the library is also not safe for students. He clarified that the University does not differentiate between boys and girls and women are given equal opportunities.
