Chandy to be Kerala's CM, swearing-in today

The Congress party led United Democratic Front (UDF) that emerged victorious in the recent elections to the provincial state legislature of Kerala would form the next government by Wednesday. Senior Congress leader Oommen Chandy would be sworn in as Kerala's next Chief Minister on the day. Chandy enjoys only a wafer-thin majority in the 140-member House in which UDF won 72 seats to unseat Communist Party of India-Marxist led Left Democratic Front (LDF) that bagged 68 seats.
