Cong alliance heads to victory in Kerala and WB, loss in TN

Supporters of Congress party-led United Democratic Front (UDF) celebrated as it has taken a lead over LDF in the assembly election for 140-seat Kerala Assembly. The supporters of Congress party and UDF shouted congratulatory slogans. According to analysts the win in the 140-member Kerala legislative assembly will come as a breather to the central ruling Congress party in New Delhi. The state ruling Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPM)-led Left Democratic Front (LDF) and opposition Congress party-led United Democratic Front (UDF) left no stone unturned to capture the mandate of the masses in the polls held in April.
