Counting on for Goa Assembly polls

Counting of votes for 40 Assembly constituencies in Goa began on Tuesday morning amid tight security. Counting is being held at two places, in Panaji for North Goa Assembly constituencies and in Malegaon for South Goa Assembly constituencies. There are 19 Assembly constituencies in North Goa District and 21 in South Goa District. As many as 68.79 per cent of the 1.1 million-odd voters exercised their franchise on June 2.
