Investors bank upon northeast to open trade in Southeast Asia
Twenty-four companies from across India came together to put forward a working plan for long-term goals, at an investors meet in Agartala on Friday. The businessmen at the meet saw great potential in India's northeastern region and discussed the possibilities of making it a focal point for trade with Southeast Asia. Echoing similar sentiments, Rajeev Singh, the Director General of the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC), said that the potential of the region was even higher when its natural resources are taken into consideration.
