Nation pays tribute to Pandit Nehru on his 121st birth anniversary

The nation paid tribute to India's former Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, on his 121st birth anniversary in the national capital New Delhi on Sunday. A series of functions are being organised across the country to mark the occasion. President Pratibha Devisingh Patil, Vice President Hamid Ansari, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, and Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit paid floral tributes and offered special prayers among others at the memorial of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru in New Delhi.
