Politicians welcome Chavan's appointment as Maharashtra CM

In a unique display of political solidarity, several central lawmakers welcomed the appointment of Prithviraj Chavan as the new chief minister of Maharashtra on Wednesday. Leaders across the Indian political spectrum expressed confidence in Chavan, and extended their support to the newly appointed state chief. Addressing media persons in New Delhi, NCP chief Sharad Pawar, asserted Chavan was indeed the right man for the job.
