Slain CRPF personnel in recent Maoist attack were untrained: Army Chief
Amidst demands to step anti-Maoist operations in the wake of Chhattisgarh's deadly attack by the ultras this week, the Indian Army Chief General Vijay Kumar Singh on Thursday said that almost 39,000 police and paramilitary personnel have been trained by the army. Singh, however, clarified that the 62nd battalion of CRPF, which was massacred in Tuesday's Maoist attack, was not among those trained.
