Standing Committee denies role in fuel price hike

The Parliamentary Standing Committee for reviewing the prices of fuel in India has denied itself from being involved in the central government's decision to hike diesel price by 5 rupees per litre, and restricted sales of subsidized cooking fuel or Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders to six per consumer annually.
