US President Donald Trump is maintaining close contact with Arab leaders as Washington coordinates with regional partners on security and navigation in the Red Sea, according to senior White House adviser Massad Boulos. Speaking in Dubai, Boulos said there is daily military coordination with Saudi Arabia, the UAE and other partners, while discussions continue over the Bab el-Mandab. He called regional security and freedom of navigation a US “red line” but said Washington would not announce specific military steps yet. Boulos also discussed Sudan’s humanitarian crisis and US aid, as well as efforts to support Lebanon and strengthen the Lebanese Army.
