Nepal Flash Flood: 359 Dead, 1,000+ Missing After Catastrophic Mudslide in Himalayas

The Nepali Army continued rescue operations on Thursday after a catastrophic flash flood swept through the Himalayan border region, leaving more than 1,000 people missing in Nepal and neighbouring China. The disaster occurred on Wednesday after a wall of ice, mud and rock collapsed into a mountain river, sending a powerful surge of water and debris downstream.
