The Union Cabinet approved the production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme worth ₹10,683 crore for the textiles sector with the aim to boost domestic manufacturing and exports. The decision was taken in a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The cabinet approved the PLI scheme for textiles for MMF (man-made fibre) apparel, MMF fabrics and ten segments/ products of technical textiles. The scheme will promote production of high value MMF Fabric, Garments and Technical Textiles in the country. Watch the full video for more.
