A Congress MP travelled to Parliament on bicycle to protest against rising fuel prices. DK Suresh cycled to Parliament on the second day of the Monsoon session. “It is very difficult for a common man to survive with 15-20% inflation. I am travelling by bicycle because the price of petrol is way too much,” he said. On Monday, TMC MPs arrived on cycles in Parliament to protest against fuel price hike. Fuel prices were kept unchanged again on Tuesday for the third consecutive day. The prices, however, still remained at record high levels across the metros. Petrol is retailing at ₹101.84 in Delhi, whereas diesel is at ₹89.87. In Mumbai, petrol is being sold at ₹107.83/litre, diesel has reached ₹97.45/litre. In Kolkata, petrol prices stand at ₹102.08/litre & diesel prices at ₹93.02/litre. In Chennai, petrol prices are at ₹102.49/litre; diesel prices are at ₹94.39/ litre.
