Iran pledges support to Modi govt amid Prophet row, lauds Indian Muslims

Iran has pledged support to Indian government led by Narendra Modi and the Muslims of the country as Prophet insult row continues to rage on. The Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian met Indian Muslim clerics in New Delhi and lauded the role of Muslims of India in country's freedom movement and the development. The Iranian FM reiterated that his country will continue to support Indian government and Muslims and noted the assurance given by Indian NSA Ajit Doval over the action against those who made insulting remarks on Prophet Muhammad.
