West Bengal CM and TMC chief Mamata Banerjee filed her nomination on Wednesday. Banerjee filed her nomination papers from the high-profile Nandigram assembly seat. The Bengal CM is pitted against her former confidante and BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari. Banerjee filed her papers at the Haldia sub-divisional office, after taking part in a 2-km roadshow. The TMC supremo was accompanied by party president Subrata Bakshi among others. Nandigram assembly constituency is set for a high-octane battle in Bengal elections. Banerjee decided to contest from the seat after Adhikari's recent switch to the saffron camp.
