Addressing a post budget press conference, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman expressed shock at the opposition's reaction to the Union Budget 2023. The opposition has expressed disappointment over Modi govt 2.0's last full budget. While some Congress leaders said there was no mention of MNREGA, employment and inflation, the other said that the tax rebates were just a 'drop in the ocean' for the middle class. The Finance Minister was quick to dismiss the opposition's criticism of the budget.
