PM Modi dials Himanta Sarma as floods in Assam, Meghalaya worsen; 31 dead

Nature's fury continues to wreak havoc in Assam, Meghalaya and Tripura. Incessant rainfall has deteriorated the flood situation, leading to over 30 deaths. At least 19 lakh people in 28 out of 33 districts of Assam have been affected. Neighbouring Meghalaya is also witnessing heavy downpour and floods.
