‘Tell Modi Ministers not to…:’ SC talks tough on ‘delay’ in judges’ appointment

The Supreme Court and the Narendra Modi government are caught up in a bitter fight over the appointment of judges. The Supreme Court told the Central Government that the collegium system is the 'law of the land which should be followed to the teeth'. "Speeches made by the high constitutional functionaries in public, making comments on the Supreme Court Collegium, are not very well taken. You have to advise them," the SC bench noted.
