Unprecedented scenes of chaos played out in Delhi's MCD house as the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) clashed over the election to pick the six members of the standing committee. Videos from inside the house showed councillors fighting, sloganeering and throwing bottles in the air. Chaos ensued after AAP’s Shelly Oberoi was elected the Mayor of the MCD. Following this standing committee polls rolled on close to midnight amid high-decibel chanting full-blown fist fighting. Oberai has alleged that she was 'attacked' by BJP members.
