Russia is sending nuclear specialists back to Iran’s Bushehr nuclear power plant as tensions between Washington and Tehran remain high. Rosatom has reportedly returned its first five engineering specialists, bringing the Russian workforce at Bushehr to 25. The company plans to send dozens more and eventually restore staffing to around 100 specialists, depending on the security situation. The move comes after reported U.S. strikes near the facility, although the main reactor structures were not directly hit. Construction at Bushehr’s second and third units is also continuing.
