Independent MP Pappu Yadav, along with other Opposition MPs, staged a dramatic protest in the Parliament complex on Friday, July 31, 2026, enacting an alleged "theft" of donations at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The protest was held to raise questions over the alleged misappropriation of temple donations and also highlighted Opposition concerns over the police action against student protesters during the July 20 march to Parliament. Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and former party president Rahul Gandhi were among the Opposition leaders who participated in the demonstration.
