Para-Badminton player Suhas Lalinakere Yathiraj talks about whether being a differently-abled person is a “blessing”. Suhas said he does not believe in being differently-abled person as a blessing. In the full interview with Hindustan Times, Suhas also opened up about his experience growing up as a differently-abled person. Suhas talks about a childhood incident and family’s role in the life of a differently-abled person. Suhas won a silver medal in badminton at the Tokyo Paralympics 2020. The 38-year-old Noida district magistrate became the first-ever IAS officer to win a medal at the Paralympics. In an exclusive conversation with HT’s Kumkum Chadha, Suhas says the world should be able to discuss stories of a differently-abled person.
