U.S. Military Releases Footage Of Daring Rescue Mission In Iran

The U.S. military has released footage it says shows special forces rescuing an American airman during a high-risk mission deep inside Iran earlier this year. The footage, released on September 15, reportedly shows the operation to recover the weapons systems officer of an F-15E fighter jet that was shot down over Iran in April. Reuters said it was unable to independently verify the date and location shown in the video.
