‘Not if Trump asks me to..’: Kamala Harris’ jibe over Covid vaccine l US VP debate

A fierce faceoff over the Coronavirus crisis was witnessed at the US vice-presidential debate 2020. Kamala Harris alleged that the Trump administration knew about how lethal the virus was in January but concealed the facts from the American people. She added that the Trump administration's handling the Covid crisis was the greatest failure of any administration. Pence countered saying that Joe Biden was among those who had mocked the decision to impose travel bans to curb the spread of the virus and argued that President Trump had always put the interests of Americans first while tackling the pandemic. The two also sparred over the Covid vaccine with Harris saying that she would only take the vaccine if health professional recommend it and not if President Trump does. Pence accused the Democratic Party Vice Presidential nominee of politicising and undermining public confidence in a vaccine and said that it would be ready by year end.
