US President Donald Trump nominated Amy Coney Barrett as the new justice of the Supreme Court. If confirmed by Senators, she will replace Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg who died recently. Speaking at the White House, Trump said, “Today it is my honor to nominate one of our nation's most brilliant and gifted legal minds to the Supreme Court. She is a woman of unparalleled achievement, towering intellect, sterling credentials and unyielding loyalty to the Constitution, Judge Amy Coney Barrett.” Trump further spoke about Barrett's qualifications and said 'her record is beyond reproach'. Barrett said she was 'truly humbled' by the nomination, adding that she would be 'mindful of who came before me'. She praised Ginsburg upon accepting the nomination, saying, “She has won the admiration of women across the country and indeed all across the world.” Watch the full video for more.
