Iran claims its weapons and defence-equipment production has doubled over the past year, despite U.S. and Israeli strikes targeting parts of its defence industry. Tehran says some facilities were damaged during the 12-day war, but production continued while its forces kept fighting. Iran now points to a sprawling network of more than 9,000 private and knowledge-based firms supporting over 1,000 types of weapons and defence systems.
