President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russia launched more than 2,000 attack drones, around 1,700 aerial bombs and 19 missiles against Ukraine in one week, intensifying pressure on civilian areas, infrastructure and front-line regions. Zelensky said most of the drones were jet-powered and urged Ukraine’s partners to strengthen its ability to defend itself and impose costs on Russia. He cited reported attacks in Kherson, Kharkiv, Sumy, Odesa, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Vinnytsia, Kyiv, Zhytomyr and Cherkasy regions.
