Iran came down heavily on the U.S. for supporting Israel as it plans a ground offensive in Rafah amid the Gaza war. Iranian foreign minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said that the U.S. must end its hypocrisy of calling for ceasefire while provoking Israel to go ahead with its ground offensive. "The Israeli regime has failed to achieve its desired goals in Gaza, and this is the reason it still continues to beat the drum of war and threat,” he told a cabinet meeting on Sunday.
