A recent remark by Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of Donald Trump and also his advisor when he was President, is being shared widely as the Israel-Hamas war intensifies. In a discussion at the Harvard Kennedy School's Middle East Initiative, Kushner said that Gaza's "waterfront property" can be very valuable. He also said that Israel should take civilians out of Rafah, and then "go in" and "finish the job", possibly referring to Israel government's stated aim of annihilating Hamas.
