According to IRNA, the partnership includes air pollution mitigation, waste management modernization, and a new UN-Habitat-supported hospital retrofitting initiative aimed at improving earthquake resilience in Tehran before a potential nationwide rollout. The engagement comes amid heightened geopolitical strain and renewed U.S.-Iran tensions.
