UK Foreign Secretary Liz Truss has been elected as the leader of the Conservative Party leader and will succeed Boris Johnson as the new PM of Britain. She defeated Indian-origin MP Rishi Sunak in a close contest battle for 10 downing street. Truss will officially take over from caretaker PM Boris Johnson who resigned in July following a slew of scandals and resignations from his cabinet.
