Mexico's Sheinbaum breaks silence on cam, takes aim at Trump for the 1st time over Honduras crisis?

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum said her government is closely monitoring developments in Honduras following warnings of a possible coup and criticised what she described as foreign interference after the country’s elections. Speaking in Mexico City, Sheinbaum said nations must decide their own political futures without outside pressure, indirectly referencing comments by US President Donald Trump. She also criticised Venezuelan opposition figure Maria Corina Machado over remarks supporting possible US military action, and questioned Chile president-elect Jose Antonio Kast’s stance on Augusto Pinochet. The comments come as Honduras awaits final election results following a recount between leading candidates.
