As the battle in Bakhmut continues to intensify, the Wagner Group says it is sending in new fighters to the mining city to replenish the army's ranks. The Wagner boss Yevgeny Prigozhin said that recruitment centres were set up across 42 Russian cities. In a last ditch effort, Ukraine sent three attack helicopters from one of its secret bases that fired a hail of rockets before returning. The city of Bakhmut has witnessed fierce fighting for the last seven months. For Russia, a victory in Bakhmut would give it a springboard for further territorial gains.
