A 21-year-old woman was reportedly shot dead by the Taliban for not wearing a veil. Reports suggested that the woman was on her way to Balkh district centre when she was dragged out of a car and killed by Taliban terrorists. Alleged videos of brutality and atrocities against women have time and again resurfaced on social media, exposing the Taliban’s claims of it being a reformed group. The group which controlled 90% of Afghanistan during 1996-2001 had imposed strict rules on women and were known for publically stoning, lashing, and executing them for violating their diktat.
