Russia’s FSB has alleged that Ukrainian intelligence sought to use information gathered by a Russian security worker linked to the British Embassy in Moscow to plan attacks on Ambassador Nigel Casey and other diplomats, then blame Russia. The allegation has not been independently verified, and Ukraine had not publicly commented at the time of reporting. Separately, the UK committed £100 million through NATO’s PURL mechanism for Patriot missiles and other air-defence equipment for Ukraine before winter.
