Singapore trains, adorned with colourful Indian motifs, have made a comeback this Diwali.
Land Transport Authority (LTA) of Singapore has introduced Diwali-themed trains, a station and five buses that will run till October 31. The pictures, that feature majestic elephants and rangoli designs, were posted on Facebook and have been ‘liked’ by 30,000 people.
The decoration has been carried out by LTA in collaboration with the Little India Shopkeepers and Heritage Association (LISHA) and SBS Transit Ltd.
The trains made their debut last year on October 15, taking commuters by surprise with the gorgeous designs.
Facebook users thanked LTA for honouring the Indian culture and adding to the festive cheer.
