In Bahrain, authorities said a missile strike targeted the US Navy’s 5th Fleet headquarters in the island nation. Witnesses reported hearing sirens and explosions in Kuwait, which hosts US Army Central, while blasts were also heard in Qatar.

Iraq and the United Arab Emirates shut their airspace, and warning sirens rang out in Jordan. In the UAE capital, shrapnel from an attack killed one person, according to state media, marking the first known fatality in Iran’s counteroffensive.

Meanwhile, the Iranian-backed Houthis in Yemen vowed to resume attacks on Red Sea shipping lanes and on Israel, two senior Houthi officials said. They spoke on condition of anonymity because there was no formal statement from the group’s leadership.

Tensions in the Middle East escalated on Saturday, with the US-Israel joint attack on Iran's Tehran, reportedly near Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's residential palace and offices. The strikes were announced by Israel and US President Donald Trump later confirmed the country's role, warning that bombs would be “dropped everywhere”.

Strikes reported near Khamenei's office: As Israel announced strikes in Tehran, news agency AP reported that explosions were heard near Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's offices in the city. However, it is said that Khamenei has been moved to safety and wasn't present inside the office premises at the time.

India's advisory for nationals in Israel: Amid a fresh escalation in the Middle East, the Indian embassy in Israel issued an advisory for nationals in the country, asking them to stay vigilant and cautious.
