Online invitations may not cost you a lot, but some might -- especially if you’ve invited “everyone” to your daughter’s 15th birthday celebration.

You are invited Rubi Ibarra Garcia’s birthday party: expect it to be packed.

BBC reported on Wednesday that a Mexican father’s Facebook video, saying “everyone is welcome” to his daughter’s 15th birthday party, went viral on social media. The report said police will be deployed at the party to manage the event.

In the Facebook video, Crescencio Ibarra from Mexico stood next to his daughter Rubi -- who is wearing a tiara -- and his wife Anaelda Garcia. “Hello, how are you? We invite you this 26 of December to the 15th birthday party of our daughter, Rubi Ibarra Garcia,” Ibarra says in the video.

Ibarra goes on to say that the party will feature three band performances and a horse race, whose winner will be awarded 10,000 pesos. The father has since admitted that the invitation was for friends and family, but no one will be turned back, BBC said.

Families across countries celebrate a girl’s ‘coming of age’ with an event when she turns 15 or 16.

A show on a music channel, My Sweet 16, used to cover grandiose birthday celebrations of teenagers turning 16 in the United States. It seems this is Mexico’s ‘My Sweet 15’.
