The family of reality TV show Real Housewives of Atlanta star Katie Zolciak was the center of unexpected media attention on Friday after it was reported that her 15-year-old son with former NFL player Kroy Biermann has been arrested.
According to Page Six, Kroy Jagger or KJ, was arrested for allegedly assaulting a woman identified as the best friend of KJ's high school girlfriend. He has been charged with aggravated sexual battery and aggravated sodomy.
One of Atlanta's most famous couples, thanks to Kroy Biermann's stint with the Atlanta Falcons and Katie Zolciak's subsequent appearance on Real Housewives of Atlanta, the news of 15-year-old KJ's arrest on such serious charges triggered interest in him. One of the aspects of his life that has come under scrutiny is his relationship with his mother, Katie Zolciak.
Katie Zolciak's Birthday Post For Son Goes Viral Amid Arrest
Kim Zolciak wished her son Kroy Jagger on his 15th birthday on May 31 in an Instagram post. Along with a series of photos Kim Zolciak, the post contained an elaborate caption in praise of KJ. The caption, especially, has gone viral amid KJ's arrest.
"Happy Birthday to the most incredible son KJ Biermann," she wrote. "I had no idea what was missing from my life until you arrived. You changed me in ways I could never fully describe.
"You taught me strength, compassion, patience, and what the mother-son bond truly means. You are my heart walking outside of my body, and every day you amaze me.
"You give the biggest, best hugs, and I am so proud of the young man you have become," she continued. "Your work ethic, dedication, discipline, and drive especially when it comes to football are truly admirable. Watching you pursue your goals with such determination inspires me.
"No matter how old you get, you will always be my baby, my greatest blessing, and one of my proudest accomplishments. I am grateful every day that I get to be your mom.
"I love you more than words could ever express. I hope this year brings you happiness, success, and everything your heart desires."
Angry Fans Target Post
As the news of KJ's arrest broke in the media, many social media users targeted the birthday post and filled it with hate comments for the 15-year-old. According to Page Six, KJ is accused of forcing himself on the victim despite her saying no and attempting “multiple times to have sexual intercourse with her by trying to pull down her pants.” The incident happened at a gym in Fulton County, Georgia, on April 23.
The shocking allegations have sparked a massive backlash, with users flooding the comment section.
“Ooff this post after what we know… I’m totally unsurprised. Sad but not surprising,” said one.

“Now the little punk can grow up in prison!” added aother.
