Two buses collided in northern Tanzania, leaving 15 people dead and 58 injured, police said Wednesday.

The buses slammed into each other in Mwanza Province on Tuesday when one of them was trying to overtake a lorry, regional police said.
"Fifteen people are dead while 58 were lightly injured. Of the 58 injured, 28 have already left hospital," regional police commander Simon Sirro told AFP from the city of Arusha.
