28 killed, 40 injured in Baghdad mosque blast

Twenty-eight people were killed and 40 others were injured when a suicide blast tore through a mosque in western Baghdad on Sunday, Xinhua reported.

The suicide bomber detonated his explosives in Umm al Qura mosque during prayers on Sunday evening, police said.

The victims included children.

The security forces have cordoned off area.
