"I will not attend the Olympics but might attend the para-Olympics," Ahmadinejad told state television on Friday.

China last February had presented an official invitation for Ahmadinejad to attend the Olympic games.

Ahmadinejad's refusal to attend the Olympic Games' opening ceremony has no political reasons as Iran has shown little interest in the dispute between China and the Dalai Lama over Tibet.
