DHAKA: Bangladesh police said on Thursday they suspect local Islamists may have murdered a Hindu shop owner who was hacked to death outside his store on Wednesday, the latest in a wave of killings of liberals and religious minorities. A top officer said police focus was on local militants, rejecting a claim by the Islamic State that it was behind the attack on 60-year-old Debesh Chandra Pramanik.
