Bangladesh 'miracle survivor' discharged from hospital: army

A Bangladeshi seamstress who became a national heroine when she was pulled from a collapsed factory after 17 days in the rubble has been discharged from hospital after recovering fully, the army said on Thursday.

A Bangladeshi seamstress who became a national heroine when she was pulled from a collapsed factory after 17 days in the rubble has been discharged from hospital after recovering fully, the army said on Thursday.

"Reshma has fully recovered... the military hospital has released her today," Major-General Chowdhury Hasan Suhrawardy said at a ceremony to mark the occasion.

The woman, 18-year-old Reshma, told reporters: "I feel great now. I am recovered mentally and physically."
