As a gesture of goodwill and concern, the Central Monastic Body of Bhutan has been holding prayers at the Trashichhodzong here since morning.
Prayers were also conducted at monasteries and fortresses around the country for Singh's successful operation and speedy recovery.
King Jigme Khesar Namgyal Wangchuk and Prime Minister Jigme Y Thinley have sent messages conveying support and good wishes to Singh, who was operated for the removal of blockages in his heart vessels at All India Institute of Medical Sciences.
