Blast at Pakistani scrap market kills six

The blast occur due to a gas cylinder explosion in a scrapyard in Pakistan's eastern city of Lahore.

At least six people were killed and eight wounded in a gas cylinder explosion in a scrapyard in Pakistan's eastern city of Lahore on Thursday, police said.

Several blasts have occured in the congested Misri Shah area of the city where a large number of shops dealing with iron scrap are located.

"Six labourers died on the spot and eight (were) wounded when a gas cylinder exploded in a shop," police officer Mohammad Nazir said.
