A 12-year-old boy in Britain has been sentenced to four years in prison for raping two girls a year ago. He is one of the youngest people convicted of rape in the country.
The boy attacked his first victim, then aged 10, while playing hide and seek in a park in Greater Manchester’s Bolton area, The Sun reported.
He approached his other victim, then aged seven, while she was playing football. After persuading her to go to “his office” behind planks of wood leaning against a house, he ordered her to perform a sex act on him before raping her.
The boy denied the charges at Liverpool Crown Court. He was found guilty at an earlier hearing and sentenced on Friday.
Judge Mark Brown said: “The public is bound to be horrified that one so young has committed such serious crimes.”
