Clinton plans to visit Japan, China, South Korea and possibly a country in South-East Asia, the reports released late Tuesday said. They cited diplomats who wished to remain unnamed because Clinton's travel plans in mid-February were still being finalised.

Clinton's first meetings with visiting diplomats, however, were with Europeans as she met Tuesday with German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier and British Foreign Secretary David Miliband in Washington.
