Hurricane Hanna makes landfall in Carolina

Tropical Storm Hanna made landfall on the border of the US states of South and North Carolina, US meteorologists announced.

Tropical Storm Hanna made landfall early Saturday on the border of the US states of South and North Carolina, US meteorologists announced.

"Weakening is expected after landfall, and Hanna should become an extratropical storm by early Sunday," the US government's National Hurricane Center said in its latest advisory.
