I am not yet married, no scope now: Uma Bharti
"I am not yet married and there is no scope also." This is what 56-year-old Union minister Uma Bharti said in Lok Sabha after a slip of tongue by speaker Sumitra Mahajan.

"I am not yet married and there is no scope also." This is what 56-year-old Union minister Uma Bharti said in Lok Sabha after a slip of tongue by speaker Sumitra Mahajan.
Mahajan, while asking Bharti to place a statement on the table of the House, addressed her as 'Shrimati'. The minister quickly said, "I am not yet married and there is no scope also... There is a no vacancy board now."
The speaker apologised and made the correction but Bharti's remark was enough to bring laughter to members. Bharti, who hails from Madhya Pradesh, is addressed many times as 'sadhvi' (one who has renounced worldy life).
